A unique component that sets the LMG Foundation apart from other scholarship organizations are our mentorship and coaching programs. Unlike other scholarship programs, we do not desire to only provide education funding but also to guide and provide additional resources to our recipients for one academic year. We believe that funding and guidance can help ensure that our students are provided with the necessary tools and resources to ensure their overall success.
The Mentorship Program
Through our mentorship program, we work to connect our recipients with other peer or professionals in their desired field of interest. The purpose of the mentorship program is to provide students with as much exposure and opportunities to network. We firmly believe that these components can further ensure the student’s success.

The mentorship program is provided to LMG Foundation scholarship recipients free of charge. Students who are scholarship recipients can request for peer mentors or request assistance in connecting with persons of expertise and experience in their chosen career field. Our Foundation will work to set up those interactions with the mentee and mentors. Our previous experience with the mentorship program has proven to be highly successful in providing our recipients with the extra guidance that can make a tremendous impact on the education succusses and endeavors of our students.

The Coaching Program
Our founder, Chiquta Harris, is a certified life coach and has countless years of providing coaching and mentoring services to others. She understands completely the crucial impact a coach can have on someone’s future and therefore seeks to provide guidance and assistance to others.. She has experience in providing the following services:

Recipients of the LMG Foundation Scholarship are able to meet with Chiquta as needed throughout their one-year tenure with the Foundation. Previous recipients are able to meet with her for up to one year following their departure from the program.

Chiquta understand the importance of the services she provides to students and as a result, will also make herself available to those outside of the Foundation.
